Giving with USC ReadersPlus

Here are a few pictures highlighting our wonderful opportunity to give back locally by donating shoes to students in the USC ReadersPlus after-school tutoring program for youth in inner-city Los Angeles.

Lynn Krasiewich, Sherry Wilson, and Girl Scout Troop 41697 with signs and shoes for the shoe collection drive they recently completed. Thank you to the local store Runnin' Gear, which donated 50 pairs of brand new shoes! One of the girl scouts described the drive best: "We are making a difference and it feels so good!"



Ethan Axelrad has already sent two shipments of quality shoes to Give Running Headquarters.

Xue Chen setting up a Give Running shoe collection
drive at his middle school in Jiangsu, China. At the end
of August, Xue and Give Running China gave the collected
shoes to underprivileged youth in Ganzi Sichuan. Beyond
the 60 pairs of used shoes and 100 pairs of new shoes
delivered to the economically disadvantaged, the shoe
drive in China drive has achieved much more: "The
collection has brought me much happiness by helping
people in need," Xue said.
