Give Running Updates

Give Running Is Celebrating 5 Years!

This October through December marks the fifth anniversary of the inaugural shoe collection drive Founder Greg Woodburn held in his hometown that served as the impetus for Give Running.

We are humbled and inspired by how much Give Running has snowballed these past five years -- and know it would not be possible without your enthusiastic support.

Thank you for your generosity and commitment -- and let's continue running forward to make an even greater difference!

Thank you Jenn Fong for lending Give Running your amazing design skills -- you definitely help us run in the right direction!

Thank You Cal Baptist University for Generously Donating
213 Pairs of Shoes!

We cannot fully express our gratitude to Rebecca Trupp and the CBU Cross Country Team for so generously contributing their shoes, time, and energy to Give Running! Your compassion and commitment make a tremendous difference!

Thank you Rebecca Trupp, Naomi Van Setten, Megan Smedley, "Ford Mustang," and Coach Wade Watkins for making this shoe drive happen!

Enphorma Triathlon Combines Competition and Giving

Enphorma, a Spanish company that specializes in promoting triathlons, recently collected dozens of shoes for Give Running as part of its annual campaign to infuse service into its activities.

Swim, bike, run; opportunity, joy, running.

Give Running Tops 10,000 Pairs!
It is hard to believe Give Running has grown -- and grown and grown -- from a "one-time" shoe collection effort to now topping 10,000 pairs of shoes collected, cleaned, and distributed! We are proud to have reached this milestone and look forward to doing continued significant work in the future.

Thank you Randy Altman and
Varsity Athletes Against Substance Abuse in Rockland County, NY for collecting 306 pairs of shoes for Give Running!

Give Running celebrates the Holiday season by distributing our 9,000th pair of shoes to disadvantaged youth -- this pair among 59 others for youth in Belize being helped by a USC alternative winter break program.

Our deepest thanks to the Talbert Family and the Calabasis Classic for generously collecting shoes for Give Running at their annual road race!

We filled a van with 1,083 pairs of shoes and drove them to Sports Gift to distribute to kids worldwide! This incredible success would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and support of all our friends and contributors!

Give Running recently donated 62 pairs of shoes to a women's and children's shelter -- helping us break the 7,700 shoe mark!

A Special Thank You to Hayden Maupin
of Dover, Delaware for collecting
138 pairs of shoes for Give Running!

Give Running Helps Victims
of the Haitian Earthquakes

Helping others, especially during times of great hardship, is of the utmost importance; with this in mind, our new Kentucky chapter has already sent 297 pairs of shoes to the disadvantaged in Haiti through Brent Gambrell Ministries based in Nashville, Tennessee.

In addition, our Give Running Headquarters has sent over 250 pairs of shoes to Haiti to date. We would like to thank everyone who has been a part of donating, cleaning, and shipping the shoes -- and we hope you will join us in doing our part to help those most in need.
